The International Education Center (IEC) of GreatChina International Education (GIE) is looking for a full-time Business Studies Teacher for its Chengdu office at No 7. Wanda. This position is to start from August 25, 2018. The IEC plays a pivotal role in assisting each school with enriching student learning environments by integrating aspects of international education into the classroom. Teachers within the IEC serve both students looking to remain in China for higher education as well as students who plan to study college and university abroad. Teachers in the IEC of each school are placed in a supportive environment that encourages professional development through collaboration with experienced faculty and staff. School Background:
Wanda No.7 High School is part of Chengdu No.7 High School, one of the first key high schools designated by the Ministry of Education of China and considered as one of the best high schools in Sichuan Province well-known across the country for its high quality education and good academic performance. The campus covers 50,000 square meters, with 32 senior and junior classes comprised of over 1,800 students. The school faculty numbers 200 professionals, including 10 Superior Class Teachers, 10 Academic Leaders awarded by the Chengdu Government, and 60 Senior Teachers. Among the faculty members, 40 have been awarded titles such as Excellent Teacher and Model Worker conferred by the State, Sichuan Province, and Chengdu City.
Responsibilities include:
 Teach Business Studies in No. 7 Wanda High School. The teaching levels include basic knowledge, academic improvement, AP courses or other related courses. The teacher must have detailed content of teaching and teaching plans ready before class, grade students’ homework and assess students’ work and exams. The content of teaching and teaching plans must be in enough details so that someone else could teach the class if necessary.
 Prepare students’ language abilities to achieve the subject learning objectives
 Conduct supervision of students during their evening self-study. On a day when the teacher needs to do so, s/he will not have any morning classes, and his/her work will begin in the afternoon of that day.
 Attend group meetings and staff meetings weekly, and also conduct peer observations to exchange teaching ideas.
 Design examination papers for students and prepare the answers.
 Deliver presentations or lectures sharing insights on American culture, college application, and other topics when necessary.
 Help mutual cooperation and communication with U.S. colleges and international education institutions, which will be a small portion of the duties.
 Participate in Wanda and GreatChina’s marketing activities and events to fully support student recruitment, such as conducting interviews with students, consulting with students about study abroad options.
 Any other reasonable duties as agreed upon by Party B and his or her supervisors through the course of the Agreement.

Qualifications:
 At least a bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related majors
 TEFL, TESOL or other teaching certifications obtained. AP certifications are strongly preferred
 At least two years of teaching experience, preferably with Math or Economics subjects
 Excellent communication skills and great passion in teaching
