Join Our Team as HOD of Language Extension at a famed Wuhan High School
Position: HOD of Language Extension
Department: high school Dept of a K 12 international school in Wuhan .
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and compile comprehensive course syllabi.
- Select and develop school-based textbooks and other educational materials.
- Participate in the recruitment process to hire qualified teachers.
- Monitor and ensure high teaching standards and quality.
- Track and report on teaching progress to ensure alignment with curriculum goals.
- Conduct and contribute to academic research to enhance teaching practices.
- Organize and participate in professional development activities for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new teachers.
- Create and manage teaching resources to support effective instruction.
- Oversee the selection, usage, and maintenance of textbooks.
- Analyze student academic performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Design and administer assessments, including exam creation, grading, and analysis.
- Provide support to students to enhance their learning experience and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support school-wide initiatives and student progression.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Master's degree or above in English or an education-related major.
- Proven experience in international curriculum development and educational material creation.
- Strong background in international English teaching with experience in quality supervision and academic research.
- Excellent organizational and mentoring skills.
- Ability to analyze academic performance and create effective assessments.
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-departmental support.
