• Roll out the business development plan for the assigned services.
• Design and build up the BD team from scratch to reach or exceed sales Target. (Team Leader)
• Meet or exceed sales objectives for assigned services.
• Develop client relationships/accounts and prospects for new potential clients for the assigned territory to achieve market position in-line with sales budget and financial growth objectives.
• Work closely with other Business Development and operations colleagues to develop appropriate strategies and initiatives to meet the sales targets.
• Solicit and develop new business opportunities through direct selling, referrals, trade shows, conferences, meetings etc.
• Promptly respond to new leads and coordinate with internal support teams.
• Identify decision-makers and areas of service needs, qualify, pursue, negotiate and close deals.
• Keep accurate records of calls, meetings, and other activities (call reports) in CRM.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Assist with preparing proposals, quotes, and customer contracts.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all services offered for potential cross-selling opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills
• BS or MS in biology, chemistry, or related area. PhD would be preferred.
• 6-10 years of related experience in the biotech, pharma or CRO industry.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in sales in drug discovery divisions (e.g., Chemistry, Discovery biology, and DMPK) with sustainable growth.
• Solid knowledge of CRO, Biotech and Pharma industries with a grasp on bioanalytical, both GLP and non-GLP studies, preferred.
• Ability to assess leads and business value, craft recommendations through effective written and verbal communication in English, work with scientific and the marketing teams, and close deals.
• Strong presentation, analytical, selling, negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent organization, time management, customer orientation and planning skills.
