Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our academic team in Chengdu. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science education, inspiring students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts through engaging and inquiry-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Science across relevant age groups in accordance with the school’s curriculum and international standards

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated lessons

Foster students’ curiosity and interest in scientific inquiry and experimentation

Design and conduct practical experiments and laboratory-based activities safely

Assess, record, and report on students’ progress in a timely and effective manner

Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement

Maintain a safe and supportive classroom and laboratory environment

Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or related fields)

Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent preferred)

Experience teaching Science in an international or bilingual school is highly desirable

Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, or similar is an advantage

Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science education

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
